The premiership table is very tight and interesting this year - if you neglect to count the top three. Or perhaps Chelsea are dropping back to be in with the rest after a tremendous start. Shame. Would like to think that the 'Pool can do it this afternoon, but what with goalie trouble and their form this season, would not like to put money on it.
More generally, how do you know who is 'speaking' on this blog?

Villa beat Pompey 2-1 last night. By all accounts, it was a spawney goal that won it. Even so, from being relegation fodder only two weeks ago, Villa are now sixth, and ahead of Liverpool (by a solitary point). The Premiership is tight this year, with the exception of the top three.

Liverpool should beat Villa at home, especially if Owen is back. If they lose, I can't see them making Europe next season.

Although I can restrict those who can write to a blog, it is not possible (without paying money) to restrict who reads it. We may not want this. For instance:

Hannah's party is getting to be quite a thing. This is exactly what we don't want bandied around lest we have thousands of spotty-faced youths turning up at our house wanting a slice of the action.

I think more research is needed.

This is Angie. Thanks for inviting me onto this thing. Not really sure how it works, but have enrolled and am ready to roll. If not rock. Today is the second day of the rest of my life (version 27), and so I'm off for a brisk walk. Then will be pondering how to use yet more left-overs in an imaginative and nutritious manner. Must work in the sprouts today somehow…
Message from Sally - she has to go to the Liverpool-Villa match as previously organised this Saturday, but is working on being dropped off at Hannah's party on the way home. Peter is still pondering, but can be ferried over.

This is Tony at work. I can add to the information here

This looks good, in principle. I like the idea of a blog as a corkboard in the kitchen. Haven't worked out how to post pictures etc. yet, though I see many other blogs where this is done.

One big reservation - there isn't any privacy about this. Though you can restrict who posts to a blog, you can't restrict who reads it (as far as I can tell, anyway). By its nature, it's intended to be public. This may rule it out for family use. If you find out how to protect viewing it with a password, Tony, let me know.

One other thing - I've found you can edit your chosen template quite easily. So, for instance, if you want to remove the "Posted by..." line, you just take it out of the HTML and save changes.

This is my first posting. I'm not really sure of what I am doing yet. Be patient. All comes to him who waits.

Members of the Cima friends and family group may want to post stuff here.

On the other hand......
